Who We Are...

Welcome to Gender Panic

We are an LGBTQIA++ refugee, immigrant and diasporan collective that makes one-of-a kind t-shirts in Athens, Greece. We up-cycle pre-loved  t-shirts and screen print them with messages and slogans that celebrate queer life in all its colors! Our t-shirts make us happy and proud!

Our message is to help people around the world to fight LGBTQIAphobia and celebrate queerness.

The Gender Panic Story

Gender Panic emerged out of an art project, commissioned by the Aphrodite* 2018 Film Festival in Athens, Greece. The project was originally called T-shirtaat and involved a series of get-togethers where a group of refugee, immigrant and diasporan LGBTQIA++ people came together not only to screen print onto recycled t-shirts, but also to laugh, hang-out and create community. For the Aphrodite* 2018 festival we made and screened the film T-Shirtaat.

Since then we have continued to screen print our t-shirts which you can find at at festivals, special events and selected organisations in Europe and America. If you see a t-shirt that you like in our range, let us know and we will ship our t-shirts to you.

We Make T-Shirts!

We give our T-shirts out for donations. Your donations help support this project to continue and to connect with amazing people globally – with the specific aim of tearing down the patriarchy – one t-shirt at a time. We are tickled pink every time we see your pictures of our t-shirts in action, so please send them to us! It’s wonderful to know that our project, together with you, is making an impact.
